On the 15th of November 2014 gallery AAAFresh123 in Rotterdam organized and celebrated the upcoming 70th birthday of Jules Deelder. My aunt Anneke in 't Veld invited me to the opening of this exhibition. Where 39 other photographers and herself were asked to exhibit their photos they have captured throughout the years of the life of this eccentric yet very charismatic and amazing Dutch poet. Truly this night was a blast.. |

Inside The Lodge - La Flamboyante Dordrecht
In April 2014 I've been positively replied back on my request and invited by a brother of the Lodge to come and visit La Flamboyante in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. We had a very interesting and informing conversation and he granted me with the opportunity to take photos of the interior, for a long term project I am working on about freemasonry in The Netherlands ..

In March 2014 the guys of Glow Music and I went on a trip to Belgium to visit a small village called Doel. Which over the years has become a ghost town with an insanely decreased population from 2500 down to the last 26 local residents that have rather normal homes but are living in and surrounded by a post apocalyptic type landscape. Because of the political issues that this village has with the Harbor of Antwerpen, the Belgian government and a neighboring nuclear power plant the future of Doel may be uncertain, but one thing that is certain is that Doel won't make way easy to an expansion of the Harbor of Antwerpen by being completely demolished .. This is a photobook about Cafetijn and Martijn van der Pas. My old bar I used to work at and my old boss who still runs it. I wanted to make an ode to my dear friend and the pub, because I feel the both of us have been going through a certain process of growth. The assignment was to follow a route and capture images of the people you've encountered.
My family and I have moved homes a couple of times in our life and I've wondered to myself who the people are that live in them now and to what extend they know me and of my family. I went out to follow my route of life and met them. This series is part of a different, extended presentation.

DESSO GRASSMASTER

My summer at Desso.
Early mornings, long hours and hard labor. But in contrast with that, the whole trip was a blast.
Together with a team of experienced veterans, we took the unique Desso Grassmaster installations and operated them to reinforce the natural grass pitch already there, by punching roughly 20 million artificial grass fibers 20 centimeters into the ground. I've worked with Desso Grassmaster at Queens Park Rangers in London, Norwich City F.C. and Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium in the summer of 2013.

These are some of the images that I have gathered and created, in order to apply for the University of Arts in Utrecht, as for the School of Fine Art and Design - St. Joost in Breda.
Both schools found me adequate enough for their study in photography. Yet only one could be attended. HKU in Utrecht it became.
